I was a member of the Literacy Research Panel of the International Reading Association for a three-year term, 2014-2017. The Literacy Research Panel “intends to engage with policy circles at the national and state level. However, the LRP aims to do more than affect policy change; it aims to enhance effective literacy instruction across the country and around the world by introducing constructive initiatives to change policy and practices where it matters—in districts and schools.”
National Advisory Board, Goodling Institute for Research in Family Literacy
I am very pleased to have been appointed as a member of the National Board of the Goodling Institute for Research in Family Literacy. The mission of the Institute is to provide national leadership “that promotes the value of family literacy and supports program improvement through research and its application to practice and professional development”.
